Along with the need to raise awareness and for charitable support, we understand that bringing some joy during a child's fight is very important as well. Our organization frequently visits families during treatment and has been known to bring along some superheroes, race shirts and race medals.
Most important, we bring smiles to greet and ears to listen to children and families. Childhood cancer is not faceless nor nameless to us. One of our founding board members is a childhood cancer survivor, and the others have been childhood cancer advocates. We know that a joyful spirit is just as important as medical treatment.
